Food: Austro-German. There is an unpublished children’s menu offering either wiener schnitzel or two Vienna hot dogs (franks without bun), with french fries and sautéed market vegetables ($9).

Space: New Wave wurst haus. Banquette seating outlines the room, surrounding a few small tables and a large communal table. ’80s art posters plaster the walls. There are tables on the sidewalk for warmer weather.

Stroller storage: No. The restaurant does not permit strollers inside, and instead asks that parents leave them on the sidewalk.

High chairs: Yes.

Changing table: No. Of the three restrooms, the one on the right has the most space for changing diapers.

Other kid-friendly features: Children get crayons and coloring paper.

Other info: The restaurant is part of Kurt Gutenbrunner’s family of restaurants, including Café Sabarsky on the Upper East Side.
