Playscape: This much loved neighborhood playground has two large play structures (with the one for smaller kids set in a large sandbox), bucket and special needs swings, a water play area with sprinklers, and plenty of toys for sharing.

Safety notes: This is a sizable playground, with some blind spots and two separate gates for entry and exit. There is some shade around the perimeter of the park, but exposed areas can get hot.

Public restrooms: Yes.

Food & drink: There are plenty of restaurants and food shops in the neighborhood, with the nearest along Hudson and Bleecker Sts. You may also occasionally find an ice cream or bakery truck in the recently refurbished plaza adjacent to the playground.

Other info: Seasonal community events are periodically organized by the Friends of Bleecker Playground, a volunteer group of neighborhood parents.
