Focus: The oldest children’s museum in the world, with interactive and playful exhibits fostering exploration of world cultures, the arts, science, and the environment. Popular sections include World Brooklyn, Neighborhood Nature, The Big Adventure, Totally Tots (for children 5 and under). In addition, there is a Sensory Room for children with special needs and a Library with a comprehensive collection of books for children of all ages.

Admission: Adults & Children over 1 $9; Military Personnel (active or retired) with ID Free for up to 6 family members. Admission for all is free during select summer hours.

Stroller policy: You may bring your stroller throughout the museum.

Elevators: Yes.

Changing table: Yes, in each mens’ and ladies’ room.

Food & drink: The Cafe on the second floor offers a selection of hot and cold lunch items, along with fresh fruit, beverages, and desserts. Hours are Mon-Fri 10AM-3PM (until 6PM every third Thursday) and Sat-Sun 10AM-4:30PM.

Other kid-friendly amenities: Birthday parties, baby showers, a free after-school program for grades K-12 (registration required).
