The focus: A smaller-scale zoo with sea lions, penguins and sea birds, polar bears, snow monkeys, red pandas, snow leopards, exotic birds, reptiles, bats, and assorted tropical creatures. The children’s zoo features farm animals including cows, pigs, alpacas, goats, sheep, rabbits, and ducks.

Admission:

  • General Admission (Main Zoo, Tisch Children’s Zoo): Adults $12, Seniors (65+) $9, Children (3-12) $7, Members and Children 2 and under Free.
  • 4-D Theater: Ages 3 and up $7; Members $4.
  • Total Experience (Main Zoo, Children’s Zoo, 4-D Theater): Adults $18, Seniors (65+) $15, Children (3-12) $13.

Stroller policy: You may bring your stroller anywhere except for inside the theater. There are indoor exhibits, stairs, and narrow paths, so you may find yourself frequently looking for a place to park your stroller.

Changing tables: Yes.

Food & drink: The Dancing Crane Café (open during zoo hours) is a cafeteria offering standard fare including sandwiches, salads, chicken fingers, individual pizzas, and burgers. Kids’ portions and high chairs are available. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Other kid-friendly amenities: Children’s programs and tours, as well as birthday parties, are available.
