Park features: A garden, a playground, a dog run, a soccer field, and a basketball court.
Playground: Paradise on a hot day, with numerous water play areas interspersed among three age-appropriate play structures. Geysers shoot out of the ground at one end, and water pours from a wall spanning one length of the playground. There are also a large sand pit, benches, and umbrellas and trees providing shade. No swings.
Playground safety notes: This is a long, narrow playground and it can be hard to keep track of children at different ends of the park. There are three gates for entry and exit, all along the south side.
Public restrooms: Yes, there are two portable restrooms by the soccer field.
Food & drink: The nearest restaurant is Chelsea’s Table in Chelsea Piers, but you will find more restaurants and food shops heading east along W. 23rd St.
