Playscape: A recently updated playground with one large play structure offering a wide range of climbing and playing opportunities for children of all ages, plus a small gazebo, a bridge with interactive games on its rails, two bucket swings, a water play area with sprinklers, and chess tables and benches. There is no sand.

Safety notes: Although not a terribly big playground, the scale and height of the equipment can make it hard to see from one end to the other. Tall trees provide ample shade. The playground is located right on Ave. of the Americas, but fortunately there is only one gate for entry and exit.

Public restrooms: No.

Food & drink: Although McDonald’s overlooks the northern tip of the playground, there are plenty of other restaurants and food shops in the neighborhood, along Ave. of the Americas and among the winding streets of the West Village.
