Park features: A large artificial lawn surrounded by an amphitheater and garden paths, located 30 feet above ground and overlooking the East River.
Safety notes: The lawn is completely uncovered and can get hot, but you can find shade around the perimeter, under the trees and Beacon of Progress light sculpture. At the top of the amphitheater is a terrace overlooking the FDR, with a rail featuring thin horizontal metal bars, spaced wide enough to be worrisome when young children are present.
Public restrooms: No.
Food & drink: There is nothing on site, but there are many restaurants and food trucks in the busy financial district (although note that some are closed on weekends).
Other info: The park is accessible only by stairs and escalator; there is no elevator.
